He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vilas Harrison Roe and Vivian Tackett Roe; his grandparents, Samuel and Ethel Roe; his cousin Dale; his former wife Debra Crook; his wife Ramona Rhoades Small (Mona); his uncle Ray; his aunt Pat Roe; his father-in-law Warren Crook; his children, Corky Samuel Roe (Valerie Lund) and Misti Erin Roe (Rick Postl); his granddaughters, Arya Bernice Roe, Eiley Samanna Roe and Zia Bjork Roe; his mother-in-law Bernice Herder; his sisters-in-law, Rita Tucker (Calvin Tucker) and Debra Harding; his stepchildren, Amy Small and Noelle Burch (Chris Burch); and his grandchildren, Denali Smith and Chelon Smith.

Dale requested memorials be directed to Indian Rocks Baptist Church.

“Dale was a great guy and such a wonderful friend. We were teammates at UW-LaCrosse and he was a multiple time conference champion distance runner. We shared the love of running and racing in community road runs. We also loved the music from the 60's and would reminisce and quiz each other about song lyrics and artists. Those were such care free and fun times. RIP my friend”
