He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred P. Martin and Catherine G. Martin; his former wife Evelyn Eggleston; and his brothers, Alfred P. Martin and Robert B. Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy M. N. McClellan of Belleair Beach; his siblings, Patricia G. Falvey of Huntington Beach, CA and Walter J. Martin of Rockville, MD.; his children, Judith A. Zavala of Rochester, MN, Vivian K. Olsen (Mark) of San Diego, CA and George J. Martin, Jr. (Debbie); his grandchildren, Ian Gierhan, Brian Gierhan, Christopher Coupe, Joseph Olsen, Craig Olsen, Matthew Olsen, Billy Jo Martin and Catherine Martin; and his great grandchildren, Aston Gierhan, Samuel Olsen and Timothy Olsen. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
