It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Arthur Spencer Sr. (Belle Glade, Florida), born in Plant City, Florida, who passed away on December 12, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Corine Carey; his siblings, Converse Spencer and Deloris Spencer Chastine; and his daughter Mechelle L. Spencer-Davis. He is survived by: his son Evangelist Jimmy Spencer (Tanya); his wife Sarah Houston Spencer; his son-in-law Anthony Davis; his grandchildren, Nechelle Davis of James Spencer, III, Javon Spencer, Ali Malik Davis, Jayden Spencer, Jon Spencer, Charlie Wilson, III and Kennedy Jones; his nephew Eric Houston; his adoptive daughter Theresa Fordham; his siblings, Charles Spencer (Rosalyn), Gayle Young and Wyetha Harris (Virgil); his siblings-in-law, Charles Houston, Calvin Houston, Lula Barrow, Rose Carr (Charles) and Rev. Jerri Houston; and his close friends, Bennie Lee Hunter, Thomas, Randy Rhames, Alfred, Tina Walker and Edith Henderson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
