He is survived by: his wife Karen Carmichael Philman; his sons, Danny Robertson (Deanna) of Murphy, NC and Mitchell Philman (Lisa) of Bell; his siblings, Pauline Sauls, Maxine Cumming, Imogene McLeod, Gwen Carmichael (Richard), Nell Yelvington (Rusty), Ann Lawson (Bill), Mevalee Philman, Johnnie Haywood Philman Sr., David Lavon Philman (Silvia) and William "Billy" Prince Philman (Renee); and his grandchildren, Kyle Robertson (Courtney), Jackson Philman and Anna Philman.
