He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Rance and Harriette Ann Thomas (Parrish); and his brothers, Leilon, Loyd and Lewis Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Joanna Van Dew Thomas; his sons, Ray Earl Jr. (Alison) of Bell, John Rance (Valerie) of Bell, Bruce E. Sr. (Julie) of Bell and Dan Thomas (Carrie) of Bell; his grandchildren, Bruce Jr. (Ginger), Raychel, Branden (Alyssa), Selena (Jose), Jaycee, Jared, Bryn, Savana, Ashlee, Alaina and Rett; his great grandchildren, Westen, Marianna and Bruce; and his sisters, Velma Cain, Loiselle Bailey, Iva Lou Fletcher, Wilma Hall and Yvonne Demember. He is also survived by his two brothers and his sons.
