He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Daniel Heery and Marie Carver Heery. He is survived by: his sister Marylee H. Digby of McDonough; his nieces and nephews, Daniel S. Digby (Deborah) of Monroe, Joe L. Digby (Davida) of Jackson, Robin M. Stanton (Michael) of Locust Grove and Bonnie J. Digby of Meansville; and his cousins, Martha Thomas (Len) of Stone Mountain and Lamar Carver (Martha) of Fayetteville. He is also survived by eleven great nieces and nephews, many great-great nieces and nephews, and many long-time friends.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the College Park Cemetery (3600 Adams St, Atlanta, GA 30337).
