It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda J. Ray in Bartow, Florida, born in Lawrence, Michigan, who passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Wanda departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Wanda may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Wanda leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Don, Bill, Jim and Wilma. She is survived by: her husband Gene Ray, Sr. of Bartow; and her children, Kelly Christensen of Saint Cloud, Shelly Prather (Greg) of Cortez, Susie Flood (Freddy) of Frostproof and Gene Ray, Jr. of Bartow. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 5 great granddaughters.
