With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Eugene Gordon in Bartow, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Wes Gordon; his parents, Charlie Gordon and Chloe Gordon; and his sisters, Waver Bragg and Jeanette Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Walter Gordon (Nancy) of Safety Harbor, Twyla Gordon Ely (Ken) of Hiawassee, Georgia and Tana Gordon Plyler (Dan). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home and Crematory (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wes Gordon Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the Polk State College Foundation.
