Shirley A. Colson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley A. Colson in Bartow, Florida, born in Hillsdale, Michigan, who passed away on December 15, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shirley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Colson; and her children, Carl Bowen and Laurie Sue Bowen. She is survived by: her daughters, Michele Tessier of Vero Beach and Anne Marie Chaffin of Sevierville, TN.; and her stepchildren, Jack Colson of Guatemala City and Jill Brown. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Victory Fellowship Church (530 W Hooker St, Bartow, FL 33830). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
