She was predeceased by: her siblings, Teamus Hughes, Robert Hughes and Betty Lambert; and her grandson Devin Davis. She is survived by: her children, John Simpson (Robby) of Bartow, Susan Simpson of Bartow and James Simpson of Bartow; her sisters, Debbie Daniels and Jenny Gordy; and her grandchildren, Mathew Simpson, Haley Simpson, Logan Simpson, Skylee Simpson, Vida Hicks, Anna Parmer, Erica Davis, Ryan Davis, Jayla Simpson and Paisley Simpson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home and Crematory (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
