She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Cochran and Eunice Vivian Cochran (Weeks). She is survived by: her husband Sonny Gibson; her daughter Vivian L. "Vicki" Gibson; and her sister Joy Harrison (James) of Bartow. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Bartow of a charity of one's choice.
