John W. Colson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 30, 2024, at the age of 91, John W. Colson of Bartow, Florida, born in Tecumseh, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his stepchildren, Carl Bowen and Laurie Sue Bowen; and his brother Dick Colson. He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Colson of Bartow; his children, Jack Colson of Guatemala City, Jill Brown and Michele Tessier of Vero Beach, FL; his stepchildren, Bradley Bowen of Sevierville, TN and Anne Marie Chaffin of Sevierville, TN; and his brother Jim Colson of Tecumseh, MI. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
