John Hunter Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Hunter in Bartow, Florida, born in New Hope, Alabama, who passed away on January 5, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Calvin Hunter and Willie Hunter (Troup); his son Steven Hunter; his sister Mary Oltersdorf of Virginia; his wife Betty Hunter of Bartow; his son John "Tim" Hunter (Paula) of Lakeland; his brothers, Charles Hunter (Janice) of Huntsville, AL, Donald Hunter of Toney, AL and James Hunter (Ellen) of Huntsville, AL; and his grandchildren, Kevin Hunter of Lakeland, Gracyn Hunter of Lakeland and Hailey Cook of Denver, CO. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Dora Children's Home or Church of Christ in Bartow.
