It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Lucille Mercer of Bartow, Florida, who passed away on February 13, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James LeRoy Skinner and Madeline Skinner Hollingsworth; and her siblings, Robert Skinner, Willie May Jefferies, Lamar Skinner, Grady Skinner and Carl Skinner.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Fussell (Tamme) of Arcadia, Bobby Fussell (Julie) of Arcadia, Patrick Mercer of Arcadia, Kellie Mercer of Sebring and Margaret Edwards (Shawn) of Arcadia; her aunt LaVada Crooms of Bartow; her grandchildren, Jamie Fussell (Bryn), Robert Fussell II, Corey Fussell (Addison), Justin Fussell, Laurel Forman (Jonathan), Miranda Powers, Patton Mercer and Tyler Powers; and her great grandchildren, Livi Fussell, Kai Fussell and Evelyn Lucille Forman.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes (50 N Hillsborough Ave, Arcadia, FL 34266). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at the Joshua Creek Cemetery (4354 Co Rd 760, Arcadia, FL 34266).
