He was predeceased by: his parents, James, Sr. Murphy and Delsie Murphy; and his son Jeff Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Janice C. Murphy; his son Jamie Murphy (Carla); his daughter-in-law Katie Murphy; his granddaughter Morgan Murphy; his stepgrandchildren, Brad Chastain, Lauren Rutledge (Drew) and Kyle Chastin (Nikki); and his sister Patricia M. Calandros. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
