It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Johnson of Barefoot Bay, Florida, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 10, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Johnson and Irene Johnson (McAllister); his son Steven; and his siblings, William, Gerald, George, Warren and Elizabeth Butler.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Johnson (LaBrecque); and his children, Deborah Petteruti (Michael) of Charleston, SC and Richard of Boston.

“I was Ray and Janet's next door neighbor I'm Florida and was looking up houses to buy back in the area for my mom and I when I remember my fantastic friends next door and why I loved living in Barefoot Bay. I researched to find them and saw that Ray passed. I'm so sorry for your loss Janet. He was like a grandfather to me and I loved my chats with him sitting at your kitchen table. I hope you still snow bird down there, I hope to buy one myself in a few months. It won't be the same though.”
