In the sacred silence of farewell, Kathryn is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Riggle and Doris Riggle (Latimer); and her sister Flora Lee Burch (Clifford). She is survived by: her husband Jerry Nelson Smith; her stepson Jerry N Smith (Kathy); her grandson Robert M Smith; and her siblings, Bill Riggle of Daytona Beach, FL and Thomas Riggle (Lana) of Georgia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James Funeral Home (1245 Main St, Follansbee, WV 26037). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
