He was predeceased by: his father Nicholas William Heins; his former wife Mary Irene Heins; and his daughter-in-law Jacqueline Heins. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Helen Heins of Barefoot Bay; and his sons, Gary Heins (Carol) of Wallingford, Thomas Heins (Shelley) of Orange, Ronald Heins of Northford, Robert Heins and Anthony Tomasi (Kim) of Sebastian. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
