He was predeceased by: his father John N. Chilla. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Chilla (Ash); his wife Wendy Chilla (Whiteman); his children, Rachel Chilla (Zachary Waples) and John Chilla (Tonya Sawyer); his grandchildren, Jace Chilla, Ryland and Joseph Waples; and his sister Robin Brown (Terri Brown). He is also survived by his sister- in- laws and many beloved nieces and nephews.
