He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Phelps and Marion Phelps (Renkel); his wife Viola Anderson; his grandchildren, Carl Phelps, Linda Heller (Gary), Ellen Phelps, Toby Heller, Liana Hennings (Heller) and Pia Phelps; his great grandchildren, Renato Diaz-Phelps, Bjorn Diaz-Phelps and Cooper Hennings; and his sister Dorothy Scheirer.
