With solemn reverence, we commemorate Bernard K. Kalwa of Barefoot Bay, Florida, whose life came to an end on March 15, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kalwa and Mary Kalwa (Reitiemier); his siblings, Gerald Kalwa, Francis Kalwa, Eleanor Pillar and Dolores Allen; and his wife Rose Marie Kalwa (Morris).
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Sullivan (Thomas A. Sullivan) of Chicopee; his grandchildren, Jettie Sullivan, Brandon Sullivan and Cassandra Jasmin; his great grandchildren, Kayla Stoothoff and Charlee Jasmin; his stepson Peter Morris (Mary); his stepgrandchildren, Lisa Barthelette, Christina Lisatinski, Kimberly Morris and Peter Morris, Jr.; his niece Kathleen Kalwa (Frank Preda); and his nephews, Bruce Kalwa, George Pillar and Martin Pillar. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Corridan Funeral Home (333 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 9:15 AM at the same location. A prayer was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (203 Southampton Rd, Westfield, MA 01085).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bernie's name can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
