He was predeceased by: his wife Maria; his parents, Manuel Cordeiro and Maria Costa; and his brothers, Anibal and Jorge Benevides.
He is survived by: his children, Alsuino Gaspar Cordeiro, Michael Gaspar Cordeiro of New Bedford and Teresa Mary Cordeiro Duprey of West Hartford; and his grandchildren, Lauren Christine Cordeiro, Michael David Cordeiro, Elliot Francis Duprey, Ava Braulina Duprey and Aleksandr Manuel Duprey. He is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, and godchildren.
