He is survived by: his children, Lavern William Day, Elizabeth Ann Day and Pamela Lynn Day; and his siblings, Richard, Donnie, Van, John Day, Cornelia, Dalhia, Josephine, Bettie and Debra Jo. He is also survived by her five grandchildren and his fourteen great grandchildren.
