He was predeceased by: his wife Rosie E. Davidson Steele. He is survived by: his children, Michael Roddy Steele (Laurel), Cheryl Barrow (Doyle) and Verda Lawrence; his sister Barbara Clay; his grandsons, Nathan Creston Barrow (Courtney), John Michael Steele, David James Steele (Natalia) and Kevin Alan Steele; and his great grandchildren, Levi Creston Barrow and Carson Lee Barrow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Goodhope Baptist Church, 1895 Olin Cotton Road, Baker, FL 32531.
