Stair age 94 of Baker, Fl passed away Sunday December 1st. He was born in Town Creek, Alabama on September 29, 1925 and moved here in the mid 1960's from Athens, Georgia. He was a counselor and retired from OWJC after many years of dedicated service and also coordinated the SGA (student government association).

A longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Baker where he served as a song leader. Mr. Stair is a veteran of the US Navy and attended Cornell University and then Auburn University on the GI Bill where he received his master's degree. He was a Mason at the Town Creek Lodge and was a member of the Baker Lion's Club as well as an avid reader, and enjoyed the outdoors especially gardening with his tractor.

He is preceded in death by his wife Nellie Cobb Stair in 2005, his parents and his brother. He is survived by 1 daughter Dawn S. Hall, 1 son Forrest Marion, 2 grandchildren Florence Melanie Caoile (Samuel) of Beaufort, South Carolina and Ashley Dawn Hall, and 7 great-grandchildren Ava Starr Minardo, Brayden Nathaniel Pike, Arya Mariana Stair Caoile, Isaiah Daven Stair Lizama, Isaac Daniel Stair Lizama, Ianna Maria Stair Lizama, and Isa Marie Stair Lizama.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 3pm, from Old Bethel Cemetery Crestview, Fl with Mr. Joe Crooke officiating.
