He is survived by: his son Jason Madden (Michele); his grandson Robert Lawson (Miranda); his siblings, Melba Motley, Hilda Thames (Donnie), Vicky Stewart (David), Wesley Gatewood (Faye), Tony Gatewood (Belinda) and Larry Cunningham (Sharon); his nephew Jacob Gatewood; and his niece Calista Gatewood.
