As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Anita may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wadsworth and Flora Evelyn Wadsworth; her husband Jerry Mathis; and her sisters, Becky Strong and Lynn Bush.
She is survived by: her children, Shaun Mathis (Cat), Fred Mathis (Jessica), Barbie Hattaway (Andres Fermin) and Daphne Youngblood (Jesse); and her sisters, Maureen Sullivan and Sherry Davis. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shockley Springs Baptist Church (6935 Old River Rd, Baker, FL 32531).
