We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Velma D. (Taylor) Lewis of Bagdad, Florida. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. William Newton Taylor and Martha Clark Taylor of Bagdad; and her husband Ernest Melvin Lewis. She is survived by: her daughters, Pat Cooke (Richard), Judy Mitchell (Donny), Susan Hutzenbuehler (Randy) and Dr. Janet Lewis; and her grandchildren, Felicia Speir (Ross), Richard Cooke, Jr., Michael Hutzenbuehler (Tricia), Timothy Hutzenbuehler (Ashley) and David Mitchell (Jeni). She is also survived by 24 children, with nine brothers and sisters, and 14 half-brothers and half-sisters.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic precautions, the family will have a private, graveside service before internment at her husband's side at Serenity Gardens in Milton.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Waterfront Mission Christmas Banquet in Velma's name, at waterfrontmission.org.
