She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence E. Perkins and Maggie Perkins (Mills); her children, Lawrence Pope Wicker III, Darlene Wicker and Sheila Mae Giles; and her siblings, Margaret Main, Billy Perkins, Harold Perkins and Eugene Perkins.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin L. Sands; and her children, Mary E. Carter (Junior) of Okeechobee, FL and Ronald G. Giles (Donna). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
