He was predeceased by: his father James Nickel. He is survived by: his wife Emily; his children, Mark Nickel (Denise), Sara Simalonda (Joe), Cathie Nickel and Stephanie Nickel; his grandchildren, Isaiah, Kamdyn, Jones, Zaydie, Logan and Charles; his mother Patricia Nickel Numbers; and his siblings, Phil Nickel, Jim Nickel (Bonnie), Chris Nickel and Judie Nickel.
