It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis M. Downing of Avon Park, Florida, who passed away on February 10, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Arthur Clarence Downing; her son James Downing; and her brothers, Elson Benfer (Ada), Dale Benfer and Harold Benfer.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Downing (Ida) of Green Springs, OH, Jeffrey Downing, Jerry Downing (Dorothy), Janice Downing and Jon Downing; her daughter-in-law Martha Downing of Tiffin, OH; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Benfer of Bellevue, OH and Kitty Benfer. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The use of face masks is required while indoors at all times. Social distancing will be observed throughout the visitation with wait times taking place outdoors.
