It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Filppula of Avon Park, Florida, who passed away on August 26, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Onni Filppula and Lempi Filppula (Solonen); his wife Miriam Filppula; and his siblings, Ruben Filppula, Onni Filppula, Jr., Gladys Lantto, Lillian Aho and Raymond Filppula.
He is survived by: his children, Julia Springer (Bill) of Sebring, FL, Janet Filppula of Avon Park, FL, Kent Filppula (Lisa) of Sebring, FL and Dean Filppula of Texas; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Jasone), Brandi, Jason, Austin, Kiefer and Merrisa; and his great grandchildren, Zoey, Codie, Jenson, Roy, Jett, Georgia and Tripp.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Avon Park Church of the Nazarene, 707 West Main St., Avon Park, FL 33825.
