He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Slotnick and Jennie Slotnick; his son Samuel Slotnick; his adoptive son Grant Wiley; and his brothers, Kenneth Slotnick and Jake Slotnick.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Slotnick; his children, Sandra Bell (Steve), Joseph Slotnick Jr., Richard Slotnick (Irish), Robert Slotnick, Faith Schechtman and Rebecca Fitzpatrick (Chris); and his brothers, Aaron Slotnick, Mervin Slotnick (Kay) and Bernie Slotnick (Carol).
