Though Jerry Franklin may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jerry Franklin touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Conner Batson and Mary Batson; and his sister Judy. He is survived by: his children, Michael "Sean" Batson, Matthew Franklin Batson (Trisha), Christine Schachter (Andy) and Deidre Mountcastle (Andrew); and his siblings, Dale Batson, Patricia Dunaway and Linda Bates. He is also survived by grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park (111 E Circle St, Avon Park, FL 33825). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
