He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Welch (Skaggs); his children, Mary Elaine Hawkins (Jim), Norma Lee "Casey" McCoy (Ernie), Joel David Welch (Jennette) and James T. Welch (Lisa); his sister Kitty Trippany; and his grandchildren, Todd, Adam, Joseph, Justin, Jacob, Michelle, Ammie, Kristin, Kelly and Megan. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
