It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Elton Childs of Auburndale, Florida, born in Altha, Florida, who passed away on November 28, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ross and Birdie Childs (Gleason); his son Mark Elton Childs, Jr.; and his brothers, William Ross Childs, Jr. and Paul Eugene Childs.

He is survived by: his wife Vera Childs; his sons, Darryl Dwayne Childs and Tracy Donell Childs (Jeanette); his siblings, Billy Ray Childs and Faye Williams (Robert); his grandchildren, Darryl Jr., Nicholas (Courtney), Jordan (Cady), Dakota (Jason), Amber (Matt), Nancy Michelle (Nate) and Tiffany; and his great grandchildren, Kelsea, Lane, Kolton, Elijah, Brogan, Jernie, Ivory, Charli, Lincoln and Ryker.
