With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona Christine Newsome (Auburndale, Florida), who passed away on January 11, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Wilmoth and Rosalee Irene Berry; her children, Johnny Lynn Spurlin and Lisa Joyce Morrow; her daughter-in-law Mary Cole; her grandson G. W. Cole; her great grandchild Shelby Griffin; and her siblings, Sharon, Linda, Faye, Edna and Stanley.
She is survived by: her children, Janice (Michael Throgmorton) of West Fork, AR, Jeannie Chodazeck of Lakeland, Eddie Cole of Polk City and Gary. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 9 great- great- grandchildren.
