It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joel Dewitt Mercer (Auburndale, Florida), who passed away on August 4, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Burma Mae and Ernest Harmon Mercer; and his son Tony. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his children, Michael J. Mercer (Sandy), Steve Mercer, Kathy Mercer Gray (Don) and Gregory E. Mercer (Lisa); his grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Haynes (Cory), Kaylee Mercer (Javier), Cody Mercer, Ashley Marie Shouppe (Anthony) and Alyssa Mercer; and his great grandchildren, Charlotte Haynes, Finley Haynes, Layla Mercer, Levi Mercer, Noelle Narvaez, Jacob Shouppe and Easton Shouppe.
