He was predeceased by: his mother Geraldine Watson Farmer. He is survived by: his wife Christine Parks Farmer; his sons, Samuel Farmer, Kyle Farmer and William Farmer; his father Donald G. Farmer, Sr.; and his siblings, Spencer Farmer (Alicia) and Kimberlee Farmer Tucker (Drew). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
