He is survived by: his daughters, Latha Srinath and Sujatha Iyengar; his sons-in-law, Sampath Srinath and David Schwartz; his grandchildren, Akhilesh Iyengar (Swathy Ranganath), Shilpa Iyengar (Max Klausner), Preetha Iyengar, Noah Kannan Schwartz, Elias Narayan Schwartz, Tejal Aviva Schwartz, Jonah Venkata Schwartz and Thatha; and his brother K. R. Doreswamy Iyengar.
