Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Martha May Casto Scarbrough of Astatula, Florida, who passed away at the age of 97, on January 6, 2024. She was predeceased by: her husband Auvil Basil Scarbrough; and her son Paul V. Scarbrough. She is survived by: her children, Joseph Scarbrough (Linda), Virgil Scarbrough (Carole) of Clermont, Florida and Janet Scarbrough Oxley of Sunrise, Florida; and her sister Margie Hunt Retamozo of Alexandria, VA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews along with many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Brown United Methodist Church, 4313 Woodrum's Lane, Charleston, WV 25313 as Martha and Auvil were two of the founding members of the church.
