He is survived by: his wife Patricia Truss; his children, Shaonda Truss-Gordon (James Gordon), Marris Patterson (Brandon Janvrin) and Omar Patterson; his siblings, Fay Patterson and Malachi Patterson; his grandchildren, Nevaeh and Princeton Janvrin; and his nieces and nephews, Victor Kerr (Michele Stephens), Michael James, Thomas Hairston Shelonda Davis (Jessica Hairston), Marcus Davis and Ashely Truss.
