She was predeceased by: her parents, James Howard Phillips and Gladys Phillips; her former husband Brace Jack Crauswell; her husband Earl J. Mize; and her siblings, James Howard Phillips, Mary Elizabeth Sides and Marjorie Black.
She is survived by: her daughter Marjorie Leigh McGowin (Jerald McGowin) of Arcadia Florida; and her grandsons, James Andrew McGowin (Melissa) and Joel Adam McGowin.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
