He is survived by: his wife Luz Elena Merlo; his sons, Erik Merlo (Annette Franco) of North Port, FL and Jose Merlo Jr. (Skyelar Pifer) of North Port, FL.; and his siblings, Enrique, Miguel, Baldemar, Noe, Jaime, Ana, Salvador, Carina, Rebecca and Elena Merlo. He is also survived by his family, his 33-year marriage two, children and one grandchild.
