He was predeceased by: his parents, Ballard Thacker and Olva Mae Thacker (Belcher); his siblings, Laverne William Thacker, Elray Thacker, Ken Thacker, Ernestine Williamson (Thacker) and Christine Justice (Thacker); and his grandson Alexander Shaw Miller.

He is survived by: his grandson Matthew; his great grandchild Lily; his wife Bonnie Thacker; and his children, Matthew Thacker, Denise Miller, Tamatha Lehman and Crystal Thacker.
