He was predeceased by: his parents, George D. Pasteur, Sr. and Katherine Hillman Pasteur (Kate); his brothers, George D., Jr., Marion, Allen Pasteur and Mike Zimmerman; and his great grandchild Ember Johnston.

He is survived by: his wife Juanita VanDyke Pasteur; and his children, Jimmy Carter (Diane), Kathy Pennington (Seaborn), Crawford and Martha Varney. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
