He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Novinger and Jaca "Eunice" Novinger; his former wife Glenna Fay Novinger (Jackson); his son David Novinger; and his wife Sharon Lee Novinger (Light).

He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Harrison; his stepdaughters, Tammy Small, Jeannie Baringer and Rhonda Bruce; and his siblings, Hubert Novinger and Carolyn Martin. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
