She was predeceased by: her parents, Adena Briggs Arnold and Harry Bailey Arnold; her husband Lawrence E. Sellers; and her siblings, Wesley W. Arnold and Harriett Arnold Lewis.

She is survived by: her sons, Lawrence Edward (Cathy), Charles Wesley (Jim), Gladstone Arnold (Carren) and Briggs Keene (Victoria); her sister-in-law Sarah Freeman Arnold; and her caregiver Margarita Rojas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.

Rather than flowers, the family asks for donations, in her memory, to Amelia Baptist Church or Community Hospice.
