He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis F. Gieg and Marie Wall Gieg; and his siblings, Charles Gieg, Dorothy Warner and Margaret Rullman.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Gieg of Amelia Island; and his children, Laura Kell of Kittering, ME, Carol Gieg (Luis Colina) of Benicia, CA, Lynn Peterson (Brad) of Davidson, NC and Sandra Drouillard (Tim) of Matthews, NC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Rather than flowers, the family asks donations be made, in his memory, to The Boys and Girls Club of Nassau County, The Amelia Plantation Chapel or Community Hospice of NE Florida.
