Merritt of Amelia Island, Florida, born in Augusta, Georgia, who passed away on March 8, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Westbrook Bussey and John Lumpkin Bussey; and her daughter Kathy Elizabeth Merritt (Missy). She is survived by: her brothers, William Westbrook Bussey (Bill) and John Lumpkin Bussey (Jack); her spouse Marion William Merritt of Greenville; her children, Marion William Merritt Jr., MarionWilliam Merritt Jr. and Inez Merritt Aspinwall; her grandchildren, Ashley Ayers Stinson, Anna Merritt English, Brooke Elizabeth Cusimano, Courtney Aspinwall Hjort and Johnathan Westbrook Aspinwall; and her great grandchildren, Anthony William Cusimano, Aiden Michael Cusimano, Allen Vito Cusimano, Solomon Merritt Bombeck, James Merritt English, Vivianne Ayra Aspinwall and Jorah Daniel Aspinwall.
